U-14 All Ireland Semi set for Sean Treacy Park

Tipperary’s Sean Treacy Park has been confirmed as the venue for next Saturday’s  June 15th, U 14 All Ireland Semi Final clash between Tipperary and Wexford in the Silver Series. Tipperary have already claimed the Munster B title when they defeated Clare in the final when they met in April.

Since then they qualified for the All Ireland series and after a two preliminary rounds qualified for the Silver Series in the new look U14 All Ireland Championship. A comprehensive victory over Wicklow in the quarter finals has led them into the final four of this competition where they will face Wexford.  Wexford also had a comprehensive win over their near neighbours, Waterford in their quarter final. With a place in the All Ireland Final up for grabs it will be all to play for. Throw for this game will be at 1pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Intermediate Munster Final

It is another busy weekend for the Ladies Football in Tipperary as on Sunday June 16th  all attention will be focused on our Intermediate squad as they face Clare in their Munster Final meeting in Cappamore, Co. Limerick. The two teams have already met in the round robin stage of this provincial championship when they played in Sean Treacy Park last month. Whilst Tipperary won that game there was general feeling that both sides were holding a little back as there was a strong possibility that they would be meeting again. History between the sides shows that there is never too much between them and there is a keen rivalry between the two counties.  So the stage is set for exciting and enthralling fixture in Cappamore. Throw in is timed for 12noon.

U12 Peil na Cailini

Our U12 Peil na Cailini series is in full swing as we close in on the semi final stages in some grades. As reported at our Tipperary LGFA monthly meeting last week, by the end of this series approximately 165 games of  U12 Ladies football will have been played. And as also commented on at the meeting, the games have been to a very high standard so the future is looking very bright for our game in the County. We should also thank and acknowledge the work of Clubs, Referees and Fixtures Committee involved.

Tipperary Primary School Blitz

Moycarkey will become a mecca of football on Thursday June 13th this week when Primary Schools from across the County will participate in this our inaugural Tipperary LGFA Primary School Blitz. Best of luck to all the schools taking part in this competition and again our thanks to all those involved in organising.

Summer Leagues

We will be running our U11, U14 and U17 Summer Leagues again this year. Competition Rules and cost of entry will be forwarded to Clubs in due course.
