2019 u-14 Player Profiles
Hazel Brennan (Moyle Rovers)
Hazel first started playing football with Moyle Rovers in 2011 and played in her first u-12 county final in 2016. She captained her club team in 2018 when they reached the u-14 county semi-final and was a member of the u-13 county development squad in 2018.
She loves athletics and runs for her local athletic club Clonmel AC and is the current county schools junior cross-country champion. She has won numerous track and field medals and represented Tipperary in the community games in 2018 in both the county relay team and 800m. She qualified for the national finals finishing eighth in the country in 800m.
She is a sports fanatic and plays lots of other sports including basketball, spikeball, soccer, gymnastics and camogie and also represented her County on the u-14 Tipperary camogie team in 2018.
Aoibheann Collum (Fethard)
Aoibheann first started playing football with her club in Fethard at the u-6 age group. In 2017 she reached her first county final competing in the u-12 'A' final.
2018 was a very busy year with the club which saw Aoibheann reach the u-12 'A' semi finals, and winning her first County final medal in the u-14 'A' Summer League. With the Community Games she reached the All Ireland u-14 semi-finals, winning the u-14 Munster & County titles along the way. Aoibheann was also selected to represent her County in 2018.
In 2019 Aoibheann has acquired an u-14 Munster 'B' title with her County, reached the Feile County Final and has been chosen to represent both school and county for the Primary Games.
Nicole Delaney (Fethard)
Nicole first playing football with Fethard in 2015 and the following year in 2016 she won fer first County Final medal in the u-12 'A' Championship. With her club in 2018 Nicole won her second County Final medal in the u-16 'A' Championship and a third in the u-14 Division 1 Summer League.
In 2018 Nicole also reached the Community Games All Ireland u-14 semi-finals, received a Bronze medal and won the u-14 Munster & County titles along the way as well as winning the u-12 cCmmunity Games County, Munster and All Ireland bronze medals in 2016. Nicole was also selected to represent her County this year making the u-14 team and also received a Sports Person of the year from her school.
So far in 2019 Nicole has acquired an u-14 Munster 'B' title with her County and reached the Feile County Final with her Club.
Emer Dwan (Boherlahan/Dualla)
Emer joined Boherlahan/Dualla GAA club in 2011 at u-6 level and played both hurling and football with the boys club. In 2017 she captained the boys u-11 hurling team which won the County Shield final. The following year she also won a shield hurling final u-12. With Boherlahan Ladies football and Camogie club, she won approx 10 county finals. In 2018 she won an u-14 County camogie final with Cashel and a Feile medal and went on to represent Tipp but were beaten in the All-Ireland 'A' feile semi-final.
She won the 'B' Shield Camogie final in 2018 with her school, and were also successful in the cross country running from (2015-2018). On the soccer field of play Emer is a member of Cashel Town FC and the elite player programme for the TSSDL and she has represented Munster for the past 2 years. An avid sports person Emer has a busy year ahead playing football, camogie and soccer. She also plays handball with Cashel .
Mary Ann Fitzgerald (St. Patrick’s)
Mary Ann joined her club in 2010 and is currently on the u-14 and u-16 St. Patrick’s Ladies football teams. She was selected on the Tipperary under 13 development panel in 2018 and progressed to the u-14 County panel for 2019.
With her club in 2017 she participated in the u-12 'C' county final and in 2018 played in the u-14 'C' summer league final and u-14 'C' championship final. She won the u-14 football community games gold County and Munster medals in 2018 with Fethard and an u-14 football community games Bronze All Ireland medal also.
In 2018 she reached the Munster semi-final of the senior girls football team with her secondary school. She also enjoys Camogie and represented her NS in the Tipperary Primary Games Camogie team that played Clare in Semple Stadium on the 10th of June 2018.
Niamh Hayes (Galtee Rovers)
With no local ladies football club Niamh played football & hurling with Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA Juvenile Club from u-6 to u-12 winning the West Football u-11 ‘E’ Garda Cup in 2014. In her final year with the boys in 2017 her team contested the West Football u-12 ‘A’ Championship football final but were narrowly beaten by Cashel although they did reverse their fortunes in Hurling Final to secure victory against the same opponents. Niamh won 3 Primary school football medals with her National School – the Ladies u-11 ‘D’ in 2014, the Ladies u-13 ‘E’ in 2015 & a runners up medal with the Boys in the u-13 ‘G’ in 2016.
Niamh joined Galtee Rovers St. Pecaun's in 2018 and competed in two County Finals in the u-14 ‘A’ and u-16 ‘A’ Championships and also took part in the County u-13 Development squad.
Niamh is also a keen camogie player with Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams where she has won 6 County Titles (an u-12 ‘A’ Double in 2014, an u-12 ‘B’ & u-13 ‘A’ League in 2016, an u-16 League & Championship Double) and an All Ireland Runners up medal in 2017 in Feile na nGael ‘A’.
She also plays ladies football, camogie and basketball with her school, and in 2019 will represent her County at the u-16 age group.
Emma Horgan (Boherlahan/Dualla)
Emma first started playing with her club Boherlahan/Dualla with the u-8s in 2012. In 2018 she won an u-14 'B'county final with her club and was also a member of the County u-13 development squad.
Emma also loves camogie and in 2018 captained her N/S u-13 team to a County final victory and had the honour of representing her N/S in the Camogie Primary Games playing against Clare. She represented her County on the u-14 camogie panel in 2018 and was selected again in 2019.
2019 so far has been a very successful year for Emma. With her school she has won a Junior Munster Football title, is awaiting her All Irelans semi final, has a Junior Camogie Munster Final title and progressed through to win an All Ireland Junior Camogie title also.
Emma loves all sports including Football, Camogie, Soccer, she also loves going to all the Tipperary Senior Hurling Matches.
Anna Keane (Galtee Rovers)
Anna started playing football in 2015 for her club Galtee Rovers St Pecauns and the same year won a football county final with her NS. In 2017 she won an u-12 county final playing with Golden/Kilfeacle boys team and won an u-14 'A' County final with Galtee Rovers that Oct.
In 2018 she reached the u-14 'A' county final again in September 2018 losing out by 2 points on the day. Anna won a junior Munster final with her school in 2019 and was selected to represent her County at the u-14 age group. Anna is also a keen soccer and camogie player.
Aidean McCormack (Moyle Rovers)
This Tipp Lady started playing for Moyle Rovers in 2012 and in 2016 she played in the u-12 County Final. She played with her N.S and won a Cumann Na mBunscoil county U-12 Title in 2017 and also that year her club team played in Community Games final in Semple Stadium. A genuine All-Rounder, who has won numerous County and Provincial medals in track & field as well as Cross Country whilst representing Clonmel A.C. She also enjoys playing Basketball, Camogie, Soccer and Spikeball.
ANNA MURPHY: (BOHERLAHAN/DUALLA)
Anna started playing football with her club at the age of 8. She won a number of finals with both her club and school. She represented her club and school in the primary games in 2018 that played Waterford in Semple Stadium. She was part of the u-14 club team that got to two County finals and won both of them and, also was part of the winning team that won a junior Munster final with her School.
Anna loves all types of other sports such as Camogie, Basketball and, also, she won a bronze medal for running in the Community games. She also loves dancing and singing.
Aine O'Brien
Aine started playing football with her club Arravale Rovers at the age of 5 and in 2018 won an u-14 'C' County title. She has also won 2 titles with her NS.
In 2019 she was selected to represent her County and has won a Munster 'B' Championship title. With her club in 2019 she made it to County Final in the u-16 'C' County Championship.
Katie O'Connor
Katie started playing u-10 and u-12 ladies football with Ardfinnan in 2016 and her team that year were u-12 'A' County runners up. The following year in 2017 she was an u-12 'A' County Semi Finalist and won a Summer League title also. Her u-14 team were crowned Summer League Division 1 Plate champions in 2018.
Katie was selected for Tipperary Primary Games Football team in 2018 playing Waterford at half time in Semple Stadium. She enjoys playing football, Camogie & Soccer with her school. She has won 4 County titles with her Camogie club Ballybacon Grange in 2017/18 in u/12 / 13 & 14. She was selected for u-13 County Soccer in 2018/19.
Katelyn O'Dwyer (Galtee Rovers St Pecauns)
Katelyn first started playing football in 2014 with her club Galtee Rovers St Pecaun’s. With her N.S in 2017 she won the u-13 Mixed & u-13 Ladies Cumann Na mBunscoil county finals, the FAI Girls 5-a-side County Final and went on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Finals in Kerry.
She won her first club County Final medal in 2017 in the u-14 ‘A’ championship and an u-14 summer league title.
In 2018 Katelyn played on the teams that reached the u-14 Division 1 Summer League semi-final and contested the u-14 ‘A’ County Final.
2019 sees Katelyn being selected to represent her county in the u-14 age group. She also plays football for her secondary school and has been selected again to represent her County for soccer.
Jenny Ryan (Galtee Rovers)
Jenny joined Galtee Rovers as an u-8 player and won her first u-12 ‘A’ County medal in 2009 followed by an u-12 West League Final title. Her love of all sport progressed from here and she went on to join the Tipp Town Ladies Soccer club in 2012 and Cahir Camogie Club - where in 2015 she won an u-12 County Championship, u-12 League and an u-13 County League.
In 2017 she won two Cumann na mBunscoil County finals - the u-11 mixed and the u-11 girls team where she was captain, and also reached the final of the u-13 mixed county final in Semple stadium. With her club she won the Feile qualifier to represent her County in the Feile competition in Monahgan, won the U14 Feile Div 2 Shield and won her second County ‘A’ Championship medal with the u-14’s Galtee Rovers team. 2017 was a very busy year also playing on the u-13 County Development Team with Tipp Ladies football, selected to play with ETP (Emerging Talent Players) County Soccer and played on the u-12 Regional Soccer Team in Limerick. She was awarded both the u-11 Player’s Player of the year & the u-12 County Player of the year award and won the U14 Champ League & Tipperary Girls Shield.
In 2018 with her school Jenny was again captain of a winning Cumann na mBunscoil u-13 Girls football County Final team and won her fifth football County Final title with her school on the u-13 Mixed team. Jenny also won the FAI Girls 5-a-side County Final and went on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Final in Kerry. Her final sports achievement with her N.S was to be picked to represent her school and Tipperary in the Primary Games in Semple Stadium – an honour and a jersey never to be forgotten. With Tipp Town Ladies Soccer club she won the u-14 Tipperay Cup title and was awarded Player of the Match, and won the u-16 Premier League. Representing Tipperary she won the u-14 Plate at the Gaynor Cup Competition in Limerick and was selected to play with the Regional Soccer Team with North Munster. With Galtee Rovers she reached the u-14 county ‘A’ final and semi final of the u-14 Summer League.
2019 will be a very busy year representing Tipperary on the u-15 county soccer and u-14 county football teams.
Danielle Ryan (Boherlahan/Dualla)
Danielle started her career playing football at an early age with Boherlahan/Dualla GAA club and subsequently joined the LGFA at u-12 stage. She is a keen sports person and played with her Primary School, where they won the u-11 Football in 2014 and 2015, and was player of the match in 2015. She was delighted to play with the county u-13 LGFA county development in 2018 and again with the u-14 County in 2019.
In 2018 she won the u-14 county club 'B' final and they also won the summer league in 2018. She is also currently on the u-14 Tipperary County camogie team.
Eabha Slattery (Ardfinnan)
Eabha started playing football with Ardfinnan Ladies Football Club when she was 8 years of age and in 2018 captained the u-14 team to victory in the Summer League Division 1 Plate Final. In 2017 she captained the Grange NS u-13 team to win the County Final in Cumann na Bunscoil ‘B’ final.
She was selected to play for Tipperary in the Primary Games in 2018 and played against Waterford in Semple Stadium.
Eabha has won county titles with her Camogie club Ballybacon Grange in u-12, u-13 & u-14 and has won County medals in Irish dancing in Scór and Fleadh competitions and plays football and basketball with her Secondary School.
