Jim Kennedy Cup

The Jim Kennedy Cup was first introduced on May 7th 2019 in memory of Tipperary's Jim Kennedy who sadly passed away in March of 2018. Jim was a founding member and former Chairperson of Tipperary Ladies Football and also the first ever national President of the LGFA. Jim was widely known for his fundraising activities on behalf of Tipperary Ladies Football organising raffles and dances and TLGFA County Board felt that it was fitting to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of one our founding fathers with this memorial cup.     

Our inaugural Jim Kennedy Cup County A PPS Final was held on May 7^th 019 with Loretto Clonmel taking on the Presentation Thurles. We were also delighted to have two of Jim's daughters Dolores and Martina on hand to present the Cup to Loretto Clonmel winning captain Anna Carey. Loretto Clonmel defeated Presentation Thurles on a scoreline of 6-11 to Presentation, Thurles 3-5.
