2020 u-16 Player Profiles
Eimear Looby (Aherlow)
Eimear started playing football with her club Aherlow in 2010 and in 2016 reached the final of the u-14 ‘A’ Championship.
In 2017 she represented her County winning the u-14 ‘B’ Munster Final and reached the All-Ireland Final.
2019 was a busy year for Eimear as she gained her first County Final medal winning the Adult Senior League, adding her second title winning the Adult Championship and reached the final of the u-19 ‘A’ Championship.
Eimear also enjoys playing camogie and has been County Champions in the 2015 u-13 ‘A’, 2016 u-14 ‘A’, 2016 u-13 ‘B’, 2018 u-16’A’, 2019 u-16 ‘A’ Plate winners and later that year Minor A runners up.
Clara English (Ardfinnan)
Clara first began playing football for her club Ardfinnan in 2011. In 2015 she represented her primary school winning County 'A' finals at u-11 and u-13 level. In 2016, her club team reached an u-12 'A' County final where they ended up runners up. In 2017, her team reached an u-12 'A' county semi-final where they were runners up. In 2018, her u-14 team were crowned League Division 1 Plate County Champions. Clara has represented Tipperary at u-13, u-14 and u-16 level and at u-14 level she reached the finals of All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. In 2018 she won a Munster 'B' championship medal against Waterford, winning player of the match on that day and that team reached the All Ireland 'B' championship against Mayo. Clara also enjoys Irish dancing competing in Scór and fleadh competitions.
Nia Donovan (Arravale Rovers)
Nia first started playing football with her club Arravale Rovers in 2012 at u-8’ and has enjoyed much success with her club. In 2018 she secured her first title with the club when winning the u-14 ‘C’ County final. In 2019 Nia was again winning championships with success in the u-16 ‘C’ 7 aside tournament and then completing a great year when victorious in the u-19 ‘C’ Championship.
Nia made her County debut in 2017 when making both the u-13 & u-14 panels and went on to be the u-14 blitz All-Ireland runners up. She followed that up again in 2018 when runners up in the u-14 ‘A’ All-Ireland blitz. Nia won the u-14’B’ Munster Championship & was All-Ireland runner up. Her favorite playing position is in the forwards.
Her other interests have seen her winning titles in Camogie with Eire Ôg Annacarthy. 2015 U12 Summer League champions. In 2016 she secured the U12A championship and the following year was crowned U14A champions. In 2019 Nia won the Minor A championship.
Sarah Ryan (Arravale Rovers)
Sarah first started playing with her club Arravale Rovers in 2009 with the u-6 age group. In 2012 she was a member of the u-10 Boys County ‘B’ Champions. In 2016 she was u-12 ‘A’ County Final runners-up. The following year she was an u-14 ‘A’ Finalist and followed that up in 2018 by winning the ‘C’ County Final. In 2018 she was an u-16 7 aside winner.
In 2018 Sarah was a member of the Tipperary Team that won the Munster ‘B’ Championship and reached the All-Ireland Final.
Sarah’s favourite playing position is Centre Back, she also enjoys playing camogie with Arravale Rovers.
Niamh Sharpe (Arravale Rovers)
Niamh started playing football with her club Arravale Rovers in 2009 at the age of 5 at the u-6 grade. She won her first county final title in the u-14 ‘C’ Championship in 2018 wearing the number 9 jersey. In 2019 she was u-16 ‘C’ County Final runners-up playing wing forward wearing Jersey no. 12.
In 2019 she was a winner in the u-16 7 aside Blitz and the u-19 ‘C’ County Final winner in position of Wing Forward wearing Jersey no. 10.
Niamh’s favourite playing position is Wing Forward. Her other achievements include Silver Medal in Cross-Country in primary school in 2015 and Gold Medal in Cross-County in primary school in 2016. Niamh also plays camogie with her club Arravale Rovers.
Caoimhe Molloy-Hickey (Arravale Rovers)
Caoimhe first started playing with her club Arravale Rovers in 2014 with the u-8’s. In 2017 she reached the u-12 ‘A’ County Final and in 2018 she won the u-14 ‘C’ County Championship.
In 2019 Caoimhe represented her County winning the u-14 Munster ‘B’ Championship and was runner-up in the u-14 ‘C’ All-Ireland Final. With her club she was runner up in the u-14 ‘A’ Championship Final.
Her favourite playing position is Midfield. Caoimhe also is a keen soccer player and won the u-14 Tipperary Cup in 2017.
Katelyn Downey (Boherlahan Dualla)
Katelyn first started playing football with her Club Boherlahan in 2015. In 2017 she won the u-14 County Championship and also won the County Summer League in the same grade.
In 2019 Katelyn was a member of the County u-16 Team that were beaten semi-finalists in the ‘A’ Munster Championship.
Her favourite playing position is Midfield/Wingback. Some of her other achievements include winning a Munster Junior and Senior Final in the Schools Competitions.
Niamh Costigan (Cahir)
Niamh first started playing with her club Cahir in 2012 and in 2015 won the u-11 Cumann na mBunscoil winners and went on to represent her school in the Primary Games (Camogie).
In 2019 Niamh was awarded Player of the Match as she helped her Club secure the u-19 ’B’ County Championship.
Niamh first represented her County in 2018 winning the Munster u-14 ‘B’ Final and runners up in the All-Ireland Final.
Her other achievements include Camogie Schools, Munster champions in Senior Soccer, All-Ireland 7’s Camogie, Munster Junior Camogie and Intermediate Champions. Her favourite playing position is Wing Forward.
Caoimhe Grace (Cahir)
Caoimhe first started playing football with her club Cahir in 2016 and in 2017 reached the u-12 County final. In 2018 she again reached a county final in the u-14 ‘B’ Championship.
In the years 2018 and 2019 Caoimhe was awarded Player of the Year with her Cub at the u-14 grade.
In 2017 Caoimhe made her Inter-County debut playing with the u-13 development team. Her favourite playing position is Centre Back.
Saoirse Keating (Clonmel Commercials)
Saoirse first began playing football in 2012 with Clonmel Commercials and first represented her County in 2016 with the u-13 Development Team. During her time in Primary School she enjoyed success in the Cumann na mBunscoil u-11 competitions in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In the u-13 competition they reached the final in 2013, 2014 and 2015. She received the Schools Sportsperson of the Year Award in 2016.
With her secondary school she was on the Senior Team that won both the Senior and Junior ‘A’ Munster Finals in 2019. The Senior Team went onto play in the All-Ireland Final whilst the Junior Team lost out in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. She also captained the u-15 team that won the ‘A’ Cup in the County Blitz in 2019.
In 2017 she was on the u-14 Tipperary Panel that reached the final of the All-Ireland Blitz and the Munster ‘B’ Final. In 2018 with the Tipperary’s u-14’s she won a Munster ‘B’ Championship medal and reached the All-Ireland Final in the ‘C’ Championship. They also reached the Final of the Division 1 ‘All-Ireland Blitz’ in Portlaoise. In 2019 she was on the u-16 Tipperary Panel.
With her Club Clonmel Commercials she has enjoyed success at u-12 ‘B’ County in 2014, u-19 ‘B’ County in 2017 and 2018 and reached the County Final in 2018 in the u-17 Summer League. She was also on the Intermediate Panel that won the County in 2017.
Favourite playing position: Anywhere in the forward line.
Maebh Mulcahy (Clerihan)
Meadbh began playing football with her club Clerihan LGFA in 2012. In 2016 she won a Summer League title and the u-14 ‘B’ Championship. The following year she earned her second County title winning the u-14 ‘C’ Championship and later that year represented Tipperary in the Primary Games football in Parc Ui Rinn. In 2019 Meadbh won the u-17 Division 3 Summer League and the u-19 ‘D’ Championship.
Meadbh was selected as a member of the u-13 development squad in 2017. In 2018 she was the Post Primary Schools Junior ‘A’ Munster Cup runner-up and the following year went on to win the PPS Junior “A” Munster Cup. In both 2017 and 2019 Meadbh won the county ‘A’ school u-15 blitz. Her favorite playing position is wing/ corner forward.
Her other interests saw her win a gold medal in the county final of the Community Games for gymnastics. In 2019 Meadbh completed the Munster Schools Hockey minor ‘B’ League and Cup double with her school and also was a regional schools basketball winner. In 2018 Meadbh won both the League and the Cup with Clerihan ladies soccer club.
Emma Daly (Cappawhite)
Emma first started playing with her club Cappawhite in 2014. In 2015 she represented her school in winning the Primary Schools Cumann na mBunscoil u-11 County Finals in both camogie and football and in 2017 reached the u-13 County Final.
In 2016 Emma won the u-12 ‘A’ West Final and was Junior Schools Final winner in the Rockwell Blitz.
In 2019 Emma was a member of the u-16 ‘A’ County Team that were beaten Semi-Finalists. Her other hobbies include Camogie and Rugby (won an All-Ireland title). Her favourite playing position is Midfield/Half Forward.
Kelly Ryan (Fethard)
Kelly first started playing football with her club in 2011 and in 2014 won the u-11 Community Games County Final with Fethard.
2016 was a very busy year for Kelly winning he u-11 Community Games Co. Final and then winning the Munster Final and were bronze winners in the All-Ireland series. She captained her Club to u-12 ‘A’ Champonship success and added a second county final title winning the u-14 ‘A’ Championship and the Division 2 ‘All-Ireland’ shield in u-14 Feile.
In 2017 Kelly was a member of the County u-13 development squad and made her inter-county debut against Kerry in the Munster Championship. Later that year was ‘All-Ireland’ runner up in the Inter-County blitz and had the honour of making the Primary School team and lining out in Parc Uí Rinn.
2018 saw Kelly winning the u-14 ‘B’ Munster Final and were runners up in the All-Ireland. She won the u-13 County and Munster Final and succeeded in winning a bronze in the All-Ireland Community Games. This year Kelly won the u-14 Division 1 Summer League, the u-16’ A’ Championship and the u-19 ’A’ Championship.
Another successful year in 2019 for Kelly as she reached the final of the u-16 ‘A’ Championship, winning the u-17 Division 1 Summer League, adding her 5th Championship title as she won the u-19 ‘A’ Championship and winning the u-19 ‘A’ 7 a-side blitz winners. Kelly was also was a member of the Fethard Ladies Football team to make their Senior debut and reach the quarter final.
Kate Flannery (Galtee Rovers St Pecaun's)
Kate first began playing football in 2009, and in 2013 she represented her school winning the Cuman na mBunsciol u-11, u-13 & u-13 mixed County Finals.
In 2014, she won her first Club County Final in the u-12 ‘A’ Championship with Galtee Rovers St Pecaun's and repeated this again in 2015 winning her second U-12 ‘A’ County Final title. She also represented her school winning the 1st year Secondary School Munster title.
2017 was a very busy year representing Tipperary at the u-14 age group reaching the finals of the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. With her club she was on the team that won the Feile Shield in Clones, Co Monaghan, reached the semi-finals in the Kilmacud All Ireland 7’s and also won her third Club County ‘A’ Final medal and her first Division 1 Summer League with the u-14’s.
She was the U-14 county vice-captain in 2018, won a Munster ‘B’ championship medal against Waterford and reached the All Ireland ‘B’ Championship final against Mayo. With Galtee Rovers she again reached the U-14 ‘A’ county final.
She enjoys participating in many sports such as Rugby (with Fethard & District RFC) and Hockey (with Clonmel HC), Camogie (with Cahir) and represented Tipperary in 2017 and 2018 in the Camogie A Championships.
In 2019 Kate earned her 4th County Final title winning the u-16 ‘A’ Championship, and her 5th title winning the Junior ‘A’ Championship progressing through to the Munster Junior ‘A’ final.
Also, this year Kate was picked for the u-16 County Camogie Team and won the Munster ‘A’ Shield. She was also picked for the u-17 East Munster Rugby Team.
Kate’s favourite playing position is Centre Forward and other achievements include: 2017 – U14 Tipperary Camogie, 2018 – U16 Tipperary Camogie, 2018 – Munster U15 Development Squad for Hockey, 2018 – Rugby Rockwell 7s All-Ireland Winner and Captain.
Aoife Flynn (Galtee Rovers St Pecaun's)
Aoife began playing football in 2010 with Galtee Rovers St Pecaun’s. With her primary school she was successful in winning the u-13 Cumann na mBunscoil County Final.
In 2014 she won her first Club County Final in the u-12 ‘A’ Championship and repeated this again in 2015 winning her second u-12 ‘A’ Club County title. In 2017 she was on the Galtee Rovers St. Pecaun's team that won the County Feile and All Ireland Féile Shield in Clones, Co. Monaghan and went on to win a third Club County ‘A’ title this time at u-14.
2019 was a very busy year for Aoife being selected to represent her County with the u-16 panel and earning another two County titles by winning the u-16 ‘A’ and Junior ‘A’ Championships with her club. She reached the final of the u-17 Division 1 Summer League and also reached the Junior ‘A’ Munster Final in Mallow. With her County she reached the ‘A’ Munster Semi-Final.
Her favourite playing position is on the Half Back Line. Aoife also enjoys Camogie and has won County titles with Cahir rand also represents her school playing on the junior football and basketball teams.
Sara Finnane (Galtee Rovers St Pecaun's)
Sara began playing football at her club in 2010 and won her first Club County Final in the u-12 ‘A’ Championship with Galtee Rovers / St Pecaun's. 2015 saw her repeat this achievement again winning her second u-12 ‘A’ County Final title, an u-14 'C' county final, winning the u-12 County Blitz Cup and won the West Football Championship. Sara reached two West fnals in 2016, the West Football Finalists 2016 and West Hurling Finalists.
2017 was a very busy year representing Tipperary at the U-14 age group reaching the finals of the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. With her club she was on the team that won the Feile Shield in Clones, Co Monaghan, reached the semi-finals in the Kilmacud All Ireland 7’s, won her third Club County ‘A’ Final medal with the u-14’s, the u-14 Division 1 Summer League, u-17 Division 2 League and captained her school to win the Munster Post Primary Schools Cup.

2019 saw Sara winning the u-16 ‘A’ County Championship, reaching the final of the u-17 Division 1 Summer League, winning the Junior ‘A’ Championship and reaching the final of the Junior ‘A’ Munster final.
Sara’s favourite playing position is Centre Forward. Her other achievements include: U12/U13/U14/U16 County Titles with Cahir Camogie, U12 League and Cup Winners with Bansha Celtic Soccer, U16 League/U14-U18 Cup Winners with Tipperary Town Soccer, Gaynor Cup Finalists 2019 and Munster Schools Junior ‘D’ Winners 2019 with Rockwell.
Clodagh Morris (Holycross/Ballycahill)
Clodagh first started playing with her club Holycross/Ballycahill in 2014 with the u-10 age group and her favourite playing position is Corner Back/Full Back.
In 2017 she won the u-16 ‘D’ Championship and the following year captained the u-14 Summer League Division 3 Cup winners. Also, in 2018 she was runner-up in the u-19 ‘D’ County Final.
In 2019 Clodagh was chosen to represent her County for the 2020 season.
Kate Moore (Moyle Rovers)
Kate started playing football in 2009 and in 2015 she won her first county final with her club Moyle Rovers at the u-12 'B' age group. In 2016 she reached the u-12 county final losing by one point. She won the County Feile skill competition that year and went on to represent Tipperary in the All Ireland Feile skill competition in Dublin and he also was part of the u-14 community games football team that won the county final.
In 2017 Kate represented her school on the primary games team and won her 2nd county title for her club at u-16 and also won the u-17 Summer league. In 2018 she reached an u-14 county semi-final, an u-16 county semi-final and a Minor 'A' final.
She started playing football with Tipperary in 2016 with u-13 development team and was very proud to captain the u-14 County team to a Munster 'B' final win over Waterford in 2018 and to an All-Ireland final in 2018. She also enjoys playing basketball and football with school, club and County.
Hazel Brennan (Moyle Rovers)
Hazel first started playing football with Moyle Rovers in 2011 and played her first u-12 County Final in 2016. She captained her club team in 2018 when they reached the U14 ‘C’ Cunty Semi-Final. She was first chosen to play for her County with the U-13 Development Squad in 2018.
Hazel was also a member of the u-14 Tipperary panel for the 2019 season when they won the ‘B’ Munster Final and reached the ‘C’ All-Ireland Final, which they lost to Limerick.
Hazel also enjoys running with Clonmel AC and has won numerous track and field medals. In both 2018 and 2019 she qualified for the National Finals of the Community Games track in the events 800m and 1500m.
Hazel also played County Camogie for the last three years and won a Munster ‘A’ Final and an All-Ireland runner up medal in 2019. She also enjoys gymnastics, basketball and volleyball with her school.
Emma Leahy (Moyne Templetuohy)
Emma started playing football with Moyne/Templetuohy in 2015 at the u-12 Grade. In 2016 she captained the school team in winning the u-13 Cumann na mBunscoil County Final.
2015 also saw Emma win the U12 ‘B’ County Final and the following year was beaten u-14 finalists. In both 2017 and 2018 Emma won County U16 ‘B’ titles and in 2019 was a member of the panel who were in the u-19 Final. She was successful in winning both the League and Junior Championship titles in 2019.
Emma is also an u-16 League Winner with Peake Villa and has athletic titles at both u-12 and u-14.
Niamh Dunne (Moyne Templetuohy)
Niamh began playing football in 2010 with Moyne Templetuohy. She won her first county medal with the u-12 in 2016. She also won an u-14 ‘D’ plate in 2014. With the u-16 age group she won a county medal in 2016 and also in 2018. Niamh won an u-19 ‘C’ county final in 2018 with her club and also that year she got to a Junior and Senior Munster schools final. In 2019 Niamh won the junior “B” league and championship.
Niamh made her inter-county debut in 2016 with the u-13 development Squad. In 2018 she won a Munster U14 ‘B’ title and later that year was runner-up in the all Ireland final. Niamh’s favourite playing position is wing back.
Niamh also enjoys other sports such as Camogie where she plays with Templemore C.C. In 2016 they won the John west Féile nGael. They also won the u-14 championship in 2018 and the u-12 ‘D’ summer league in 2015.
Eva Sumner (Moyne Templetuohy)
Eva started playing football at the age of 6 with Balyna GAA in North Kildare and in 2016/17 Eva relocated to Moyne Templetuohy LGFC. She was quite successful with her school Broadford NS Co. Kildare in winning many Cumann na mBunscoil titles. Eva has been quite successful with her club with success at the u-12 and u-14 grades. This year was a very busy year for Eva who is a member of the u-16 ,u-17,u-19 and Junior 'B' team that won the county final in 2019.
Her inter-county career began in 2018 when she was a member of the county academy and followed that up the following year with Munster success and All-Ireland runners-up. Her favourite playing position is center forward/mid field. 2019 also saw Eva making the county Camogie U14 panel
Helen Cleere (Moyne Templetuohy)
Helen first started with her club Moyne Templetuohy in 2013. In 2016 she won the u-13 Cumann na mBunscoil County Final and the following year were Blitz winners.
In 2015 Helen won the County Mixed Mid Final. In 2016 she won the Summer League and also was u-15 Shield winners. In 2018 she won the U19 ‘C’ County Final and completed the season by winning the Junior ‘C’ County Final.
In 2018, Helen was Munster ‘B’ Champion and All-Ireland finalist. The same year she was All-Ireland Blitz runner-up. 2019 was another success while securing the Munster u-14 ‘B’ Championship and runners-up in the All-Ireland u-14 ‘C’ Final. Her favourite playing position is Centre/Wing Forward.
Helen’s other interests are Camogie where she won the Munster Final in 2019 and was All-Ireland Finalists. In 2018 she won the Senior Schools Munster ‘A’ Title and was runner-up in the All-Ireland.
Ava Ryan (Moyne Templetuohy)
Aideen McGlinchey (Rockvale Rovers)
Aideen first started playing with her club Rockvale Rovers in February 2019 at U16 grade.
In 2016 Aideen played on the Tipperary Team in the ‘Primary Game’ during half time of the Munster Senior Football Final in Killarney between Tipperary and Kerry.
With her club Rockvale Rovers (which was formed in 2019) in their first year, she reached the Semi-Final of u-16 ‘D’ Championship.
Aideen is a member of the 2020 u-16 Tipperary Panel. Her favourite playing position is in Midfield and the Forward Line. She has also represented North Tipperary in Soccer at u-14 finishing 4th in Gaynor Cup 2018 and at u-15 Level won Manchester International Tournament in 2019. Aideen has also won 2 All-Ireland Schools Soccer Championships with St. Mary’s Secondary School, Newport.
Isobel ‘Izzy’ Maher (St Patrick’s)
Izzy first started playing football with her club St. Patrick’s in 2010 and in 2015 and 2016 she represented her primary school winning u-13 ’B’ Primary School Ladies Blitz.
Izzy represented her club in 2018 at u-14 in Finals of both Summer League Division 3 and County ‘C’ Championship. Also, that year she played with her club in the u-16 ‘B’ County Semi Final.
In 2019 Izzy represented her Club winning the u-16 ‘B’ Championship and the u-17 Summer League Division 2 Final and played in the u-19 County Semi Final.
In 2016 and 2018 Izzy represented her parish in Community Games U12 and U14 and went on to win the Tipperary County Title, Munster Title and came third in National All-Ireland Finals taking the bronze medal in both years. Izzy captained the Community Games County Final Team of 2018.
Izzy plays both Junior and Senior football with her school Presentation Ballingarry and captained the winning team in the Presentation Nano Nagle School Blitz in 2018. She was runner up in the post primary Senior Munster Final in 2018 and won the post primary schools Senior Munster B Plate in 2019. She also represented her school winning the post primary Junior Munster Plate in 2019.
Izzy was awarded the Junior Player of the year – Presentation Secondary School Ballingarry 2019.
Izzy plays camogie with St. Rita’s Camogie Club Fethard and represented her team winning the County League Final U16. She also plays Minor with her Club reaching a County Semi Final in 2019. Izzy swims competitively with Clonmel Swimming Club and has represented her Club at Munster and National Level. Izzy finished eleventh overall in the Irish National Minor Schools Swimming Competition in 2016. Izzy also has represented her parish in the Community Games Swimming winning three County Titles, represented Tipperary in National All-Ireland Finals and in 2014 finished third, bronze medallist, at Nationals.
Nora Martin (Sliabh na mBan)
Nora first started playing football with her club in 2013 with the u-8 age group. With her primary school she won the Cumann na mBunscoil u13 County Final in 2017 and represented Tipperary in the primary games.
In 2016 she won the u-12 ‘B’ County Final and the following year followed that with success with her second County title in the u-12 ‘A’ Championship in 2017. Also, that year Nora was successful in winning the u-12 boys South & County Final and the u-14 summer league final. In 2017, Nora was selected to train with the u-13 development squad and in 2018 won the u-14 ‘B’ Munster final and reached the All Ireland final.
In 2019 she won the Munster u-14 ’B’ final and were runners up in the ‘C’ All-Ireland final and followed that by winning the Secondary school ‘A’ Munster final.
Nora’s favourite playing position is wing back. As part of her other sporting achievements she won the 2017 Regional final in Basketball and followed that up with success again in 2019.
Ally Ryan (Sliabh na mBan)
Ally first started playing football with her Club Sliabh na mBan with the u-10’s in 2012. With her primary school Ally won a mixed County Final in 2016 and won her first County Final medal in the u-12 Championship. In 2017 she partook in the u-14 All Ireland Féile in Cavan and in 2018 was chosen to represent her County on the u-14 panel.
In 2018, Ally won the u-14 ‘B’ Munster Championship and was runner-up in the All-Ireland Final. Later that year was also runner up in the All-Ireland Blitz.
Ally’s favourite playing position is Centre Back and other achievements include winning the 2019 Secondary School Blitz with her secondary school. She is also a keen swimmer and has won 6 medals in Munster Swimming Gala’s.
Kate Delaney (Templemore)
Kate first started playing football with her Club Templemore in 2010 with the u-8’s. In 2015 she won the u-12 ’C’ County Championship and the following year won the u-12 Division 1 Summer League.
In 2017 Kate won the u-14 ‘B’ County Final and the following year qualified for Féile after winning the County u-14 ’A’ Championship. Kate was also a member of the All Ireland 7s Plate winners. In 2019 she won the Club Intermediate County Final and was runner-up in the Munster Club Final.
In 2016 Kade made her Inter-County debut on the u-13 Development Team V Limerick. The following year she was u-14 ‘A’ runner up in the All Ireland Blitz and again in 2018. In 2018 she won the u-14 ‘B’ Munster Final and reached the All Ireland final.
Neassa Towey (Templemore)
Neassa started playing football in 2010 with her club Templemore. In 2015 she won her first county title, winning the u-12 ‘C’ Championship. Then in 2016 she won an u-12 Division 1 Summer League medal. She then went on to win the u-14 ‘B’ Championship the following year. 2018 was a very successful year for Neassa winning the County u-14 Feile Division 1, then going on to winning the u-14 ‘A’ Championship. Also, that year she won the All-Ireland 7’s Plate Competition in Kilmacud Crokes with her team. In 2019, Neassa was part of the Intermediate Team who won the County Title and who were runners up in the Munster Final.
Neassa made her County debut in April 2019 with the u-13 Development Squad against Limerick in the Munster League. Neassa was part of both teams in 2017 and 2018 who were runners-up in the u14 All-Ireland Blitz ‘A’ Final. Also, in 2018 she won a Munster ‘B’ title with the Tipperary u-14’s. Also, runner-up in the All-Ireland U14 Final in the same year losing out to Mayo. Neassa’s favourite playing position is Midfield.
Neassa has also been very successful with basketball. In 2018 she was chosen to represent Midlands in Basketball Ireland Post Primary Schools Inter-Regionals; her team came third in the country. She then progressed to the Leinster U15 Basketball Academy. In 2015 Neassa was the third leg of the Tipperary U12 4x500m girls who won Gold at the National Cross-Country Championship. Neassa had also recent success in athletics being part of the Templemore Community Games mixed relay team who won consecutive titles.
Danielle ‘Dani’ Ryan (Templemore)
Dani first started playing football with her club Templemore in 2015 with the u-12 team. With her primary school she won the Tipperary Primary Schools Ladies Football Blitz Plate and the u-11 Cumann na mBunscoil Mixed County Final in 2015. In post primary Dani has 3 Munster Blitz medals for both 2017 and 2018. Dani’s first club achievement was winning the u-12 Championship in 2015 and she then won the u-12 Division 1 Summer League in 2016, and u-14 ‘B’ Championship in 2017.
2018 was a great year for Templemore u-14 girls winning the u-14 ‘A’ Féile County Final, the U14 ‘A’ Championship Final and the Kilmacud All-Ireland Ladies Football 7’s Plate Final. In 2019 Intermediate County Final winners and Munster Final runners-up.
Dani made her Inter-County debut in 2017 with the u-13 Tipperary Ladies Football Development Squad. Dani’s favourite playing position is Centre Forward.
She has won U11 and U13 Camogie Cumann na mBunscoil Finals in 2015 and U13 Hurling Cumann na mBunscoil North Final and County Final in 2015. In 2016 she won the U13 Camogie Cumann na mBunscoil and the U13 hurling Cumann na mBunscoil North and County Final. Dani also won an U12 North Hurling Final with Borrisoleigh GAA Club that year. Also, in 2016 Dani won U12 ‘C’ and ‘B’ Leagues in Camogie and represented her school in the Camogie Primary Games in Semple Stadium. In the 2018/2019 school year, Dani won both Intermediate and captained the U16½ Team in two Munster Finals. Also, in 2019 Dani won the U16A Munster Shield Final with Tipperary Camogie. Dani plays soccer for BT Harps, she received U12 Player of the Year in 2016. She was BT Harps Club Player of the Year in 2017, the first female to ever receive this award. Dani also played soccer with North Tipperary from 2016 to 2019. In 2018 Dani was on the Gaynor Cup Team that came 4th in the country. In 2019 with WTSFL U15 Team Dani travelled to Manchester to compete in the Manchester Cup and won the U16 Challenge Cup. Dani also has various medals for both Club and School Athletics competitions.
Jill Johnson (Templemore)
Jill first started playing football with her club Templemore in 2010 with the u-8 age group. With her primary school she reached three Cumann na mBunscoil County Finals and won the T.L.G.F.A. Primary Blitz ‘A’ Shield’ in her last year 2016/2017.
In June 2017 Jill represented the County in the Primary Games as a wing back during the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi Final between Cork and Tipperary which took place in Pairc Uí Rinn.
With her Club, Jill won her first county medal when they won the u-12 ‘C’ Championship in June 2015, she also won an u-12 Summer League Division 1 medal in 2016. In 2017 Jill won an u-14 ‘B’ Championship County Medal playing in the Wing Back Position.
2018 was a busy year for Jill. In April 2018 she won the County Féile Competition with her Club then went on to represent Tipperary in the John West Feile Peile na nÓg in June, losing at the Semi Final stage to New York. That year she also won an U14 ‘A’ Championship County Final. In September 2018 Jill and her U14 teammates took part in the All-Ireland Seven’s Competition held in Kilmacud Crokes the day before the All-Ireland Final where they won the Seven’s Plate Final.
In 2019 Jill played in the Wing Forward position on the u-16, u-19 and Intermediate teams and won an Intermediate County Medal and reached the Intermediate Munster Final.
In 2016 Jill made her Inter-County debut during an u-13 development blitz. Jill was part of the u-16 County Panel in 2019 and is a member of the 2020 County u-16 Panel.
Jill also plays camogie for Templemore Camogie Club for several years and won a Feile na nGael Medal in 2016, also winning several county camogie medals. She also plays Basketball with Portlaoise Panthers. Jill represents her school in Football, Camogie and Basketball.
Grace O’Connell (Templemore)
Grace started playing for Templemore in 2009 with the u-6 age group. In 2016 with her Primary School she won the Cumann na mBunscoil u-11 ‘C’ County Final.
With the Club she has won the 2015 u-12 ‘C’ Summer League and u-12 Championship, the 2016 u-12 ‘A’ Summer League and u-12 ’B’ Championship, the 2017 u-14 ‘B’ Championship and started playing with Development Squad. 2018 was an extremely successful year representing Tipperary at Féile Peil na nÓg and getting to the semi-finals in Division 2, followed by winning the Chill Insurance All-Ireland 7’s Plate Final and the County u-14 ‘A’ Championship and reaching the u-14 Division 1 Summer League Final. Her favourite playing position is Wing/Corner Forward.
Grace also holds an u-15C County Camogie Medal as well as numerous cross-county and distance medals plus 3 Munster dancing medals and a Scór County Dancing Medal.
Aoife O’Dwyer (Thurles Sarsfields)
Aoife first started playing with her club Thurles Sarsfields in 2012. In 2016 she won a Primary Schools Cumann na mBunscol County Final and in 2017 won the County u-14 ‘D’ Championship.
2018 was a busy year which saw Aoife represent her County and win an u-14 ’B’ Munster Final title. She was runner-up in the All-Ireland Final and runner-up in the All-Ireland Blitz Competition.
Her favourite playing position is Midfield. Aoife has won 2 Camogie School Finals in 2019 in both Junior and Senior, and also has 2 Gold Team Munster Medals in Cross-Country.
Chloe Byrne (Thurles Sarsfields)
Chloe started playing football with Thurles Sarsfields at U6 grade in 2011. She captained her school in winning the U11 ‘A’ Cumann na mBunscol for Gaelscoil Bhride. In 2015 Chloe won the u-12 Summer League with her Club. In 2017 she won the u-14 ’D’ Championship and this year she captained her u-14 Club side.
In 2017 Chloe represented her school in the Primary Games against Cork in Pairc Uí Rinn wearing the No. 2 Jersey. In 2017 she was selected to represent her County with the South Tipperary Soccer and won the same year with Peake Villa.
Chloe’s favourite playing position is Wing Forward/Midfield. Her other interests see her securing Munster and All-Ireland Medals in both Cross-Country and Track and Field.
