Panel Announcement (2019 u-16)
Niamh Cuneen (Silvermines)
Niamh first started playing football with Silvermines Ladies Football Club in 2015 and the next year won her first County Final medal in the U14 ‘D’ championship. In 2017 she was selected to represent her County with the u-14 age group.
In 2018 she won both the u-17 ‘B’ and u-19 ‘D’ championship finals and was selected once again to represent her County at the u-16 age group.
Ava Collins (Moyle Rovers)
Ava started playing football in 2012 and in 2015 won her fist county final in the u-12 ‘B’ Championship . The following year representing her school she won the Cumann na mBunscoil County ‘D’ final.
In 2016 as part of her Parish she won the Community games u-13 County final and in 2017 she was part of the Club Team winning the u-16 ‘C’ County final and also the u-17 Summer League.
In 2018 she reached the u-16 ‘B’ and Junior semi-finals and also played with her Club Minor Team reaching the ‘A’ County semi-final.
She enjoys participating in other sports, Camogie, Crossfit, Captained her school to their first ever girls Basketball team in winning the regional ‘D’ final in 2018. Swimming, Qualifying for National Divison finals yearly and representing her county on numerous occasions in the Community Games winning Bronze and Silver at the National Finals as part of her County Relay Team.
Emma Daly (Cappawhite)
Emma has played her football with Cappawhite since u-12's having previously played with the boys u-12 teams with Kickhams GAA club. She represented Tipperary in primary games, and played at half time in the 2016 Munster Final in Killarney. In 2018 Emma represented Tipperary in the Feile skills competition and was part of u-13 Tipperary Ladies football panel. She plays camogie for Kickhams, hockey for Tipperary town and plays football and hockey for her school.
Sarah English
Sarah first began playing football for her club Ardfinnan in 2011 and in 2015 she represented her primary school winning u-11 and u-13 County 'A' titles. In 2016 and 2017 she reached the semi finals stages of the County Championships with her club Ardfinnan at u-14 and u-16 levels. In 2017 her team were runners up in the u-14 Divison 2 League Plate final. She started playing for Tipperary at u-13 level and on to u-14 and u-16. Sarah also enjoys irish dancing, competing in Scór and fleadh competitions.
Clara English
Clara first began playing football for her club Ardfinnan in 2011. In 2015 she represented her primary school winning County 'A' finals at u-11 and u-13 level. In 2016, her club team reached an u-12 'A' County final where they ended up runners up. In 2017, her team reached an u-12 'A' county semi-final where they were runners up. In 2018, her u-14 team were crowned League Division 1 Plate County Champions. Clara has represented Tipperary at u-13, u-14 and u-16 level and at u-14 level she reached the finals of All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. In 2018 she won a Munster 'B' championship medal against Waterford, winning player of the match on that day and that team reached the All Ireland 'B' championship against Mayo. Clara also enjoys Irish dancing competing in Scór and fleadh competitions.
Sarah Finnane (Galtee Rovers)
Sarah began playing football at her club in 2009 and won her first Club County Final in the U-12 ‘A’ Championship with Galtee Rovers / St Pecaun's. 2015 saw her repeat this achievement again winning her second u-12 ‘A’ County Final title, an u-14 'C' county final and winning the u-12 County Blitz Cup.
2017 was a very busy year representing Tipperary at the U-14 age group reaching the finals of the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. With her club she was on the team that won the Feile Shield in Clones, Co Monaghan, reached the semi-finals in the Kilmacud All Ireland 7’s, won her third Club County ‘A’ Final medal, the U-14 Division 1 League, U-17 Division 2 League and captained her school to win the Munster Post Primary Schools Cup.
In 2018 she won a Munster ‘B’ championship medal against Waterford and reached the All Ireland ‘B’ Championship final against Mayo. With Galtee Rovers she again reached the U-14 ‘A’ county final and U-19 C county final.
Kate Flannery (Galtee Rovers)
This Tipp Lady first began playing football in 2009, and in 2013 she represented her school winning the National School U-13 & U-11 County Finals.
In 2014, she won her first Club County Final in the U-12 ‘A’ Championship with Galtee Rovers / St Pecaun's and repeated this again in 2015 winning her second U-12 ‘A’ County Final title. She also represented her school winning the 1st year Secondary School Munster title.
2017 was a very busy year representing Tipperary at the U-14 age group reaching the finals of the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise. She was the U-14 county vice-captain in 2018, won a Munster ‘B’ championship medal against Waterford and reached the All Ireland ‘B’ Championship against Mayo. With Galtee Rovers she again reached the U-14 ‘A’ county final.
She enjoys participating in many sports such as Rugby (with Fethard & District RFC) and Hockey (with Clonmel HC), Camogie (with Cahir) and represented Tipperary in 2017 and 2018 in the Camogie A Championships.
Aoife Flynn (Galtee Rovers)
Aoife began playing football in 2010 with Galtee Rovers St Pecaun’s. In 2014 she won her first Club County Final, the u-12 ‘A’ Championship and repeated this again in 2015 by winning her second -12 ‘A’ Club County title. In 2017 she was on the Galtee Rovers St. Pecaun's team that won the County Feile and All Ireland Feile Shield in Clones, Co. Monaghan and went on to win a third Club County ‘A’ title this time at u-14. Aoife represents her school playing on the junior football team and basketball team and plays camogie for Cahir.
Ellen Gantley (Cappawhite)
Ellen started playing football in 2014 with Cappawhite and reached an u-12 'B' final losing out to Clonmel Commercials.
In 2015, she won her first Club County Final in the u-14 ‘D’ Championship with Cappawhite and also in the same year won an u-16 'C' with Cappawhite.
In 2018 Ellen won the Division 1 Adult league with Cappawhite joining the Senior panel.
She also represented Tipperary in u-14B in 2017 were she won a Munster 'B' Championship medal and an All-Ireland 'B' Championship medal.
Ellen has also a keen interest in Camogie were she has won 'A' County finals at u-12, u-14 & u-16. She won a Camogie 'A' All-Ireland final in 2017 and has been on the u-16 'A' panel in 2018 & 2019.
Aoibhe Gayson Molloy (Galtee Rovers)
Aoibhe began playing football with her club Galtee Rovers in 2017 which was a very busy and very successful year - winning the County Feile, reaching the semi-finals in the Kilmacud All Ireland 7’s, winning her first u-14 County ‘A’ Final medal, winning the Division 1 u-14 Summer League and Division 2 u-17 Summer League.
The following year in 2018 she reached the semi-finals of the u-16 ‘A’ Championship, won a Junior Division 2 League title, reached the semi-finals of the Junior 'B' Championship and was selected to represent her county in the u-16 age group.
2019 has been a very busy and successful year so far - with her school in 2018-2019 she has won four Munster and three All-Ireland titles - both the Post Primary School's Senior & Junior Munster Football titles, the Post Primary School's Senior & Junior Munster Camogie titles, an All-Ireland Senior Camogie medal, an All-Ireland Junior Camogie medal, and an All-Ireland Junior Football title.
Aoibhe also reached the Munster semi-final with her County, and with her club is through to the u-16 'A' final this year.
This busy lady also represents her school in Basketball, and enjoys playing Rugby and Soccer too.
Megan Heffernan (Galtee Rovers)
Megan began playing football in 2009 with her club and first represented her County in 2015.
In 2014, she won her first Club County Final in the U-12 ‘A’ Championship and repeated this again in 2015 winning her second U-12 ‘A’ County Final title.
In 2016/2017 she was awarded with the St Ailbe’s Sports person of the Year award after winning the Munster Junior School Football Final where she was named Player of the Match.
2017 was a very busy year representing Tipperary at the U-14 age group reaching the finals of the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise and the Munster ‘A’ Final. With her club she was on the team that won the County Feile and reached the semi-finals in the Kilmacud All Ireland 7’s and also won her third Club County ‘A’ Final medal. She was selected to represent her County in the U16 ladies football squad for 2018.
She reached the County ‘A’ Championship semi-finals in 2018 with her club and reached the Munster Final with Tipperary.
She also has a keen interest in soccer and plays for Tipperary Town Ladies Football Club (TLFC). She was captain of the U12 Boys/Girls team that won the Tipperary Cup and received Player of the Month. She represents her county with South Tipperary Soccer and played on the U-14 North Munster regional team.
Eabha Hogan (St. Patrick’s)
This Tipp Lady first started playing football in 2007 and joined St. Patrick’s Ladies Football Club in 2010. Eabha was on u-12 development squad in 2014 and progressed to representing her County in 2015.
Previously in 2014 she played on the team that won the u-12 community games county and were Munster runners up. In 2016 she won the Primary School Blitz u-13 ‘C’ Plate and were the u-14 community games county winners.
2017 was a very busy year for Eabha with both her school and club. With St Patrick’s she progressed to the All Ireland u-14 inter county blitz and were runners up and won her first County Final medal in the u-19 'C' County Championship. With her school she claimed a Munster Schools Junior ‘E’ title and was awarded Junior Footballer of the Year.
In 2018 she represented her school at the Munster schools Senior 'D' level and were runners up and with her club she claimed her second County Final medal in the Junior 'B' County Championship and were the Thurles Sarsfield Football Fest 7-a-side u-16 runners up.
Saoirse Keating (Clonmel Commercials)
Saoirse first began playing football in 2012 with Clonmel Commercials and first represented her county in 2016 with the u-13 Development Team. During her time in Primary School she enjoyed success in the Cumann na mBunscoil u-11 competitions in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In the u-13 competition they reached the final in 2013, 2014 and 2015. She received the Schools Sportsperson of the Year Award in 2016. In her Secondary School she is currently on the Junior team playing in an A Munster final and Senior Teams where she has won a Munster title this year.
In 2017 she was on the u-14 Tipperary Panel that reached the final of the All Ireland Blitz and the Munster ‘B’ Final. In 2018 with the Tipperary u-14’s she won a Munster ‘B’ Championship medal and reached the All Ireland Final in the ‘B’ Championship. They also reached the Final of the Division 1 ‘All Ireland Blitz’ in Portlaoise.
With her Club Clonmel Commercials she has enjoyed success at u-12 'B' County in 2014, u-19 'B' County in 2017 and 2018 and reached the County Final in 2018 for u-17. She was also on the Intermediate Panel that won the County in 2017.
Enya Maher (Moycarkey Boris)
This Tipp lady began playing football with Moycarkey Borris in 2010, won the u-10 Tomas Max tournament, and an u-12 championship and league county final.
She was a member of the senior team in 2017 that won her schools first ever football All Ireland & Munster C titles.
In 2018 she captained her club to an u-16 C championship receiving player of the match, and also won the u-17 summer league while also playing on the Junior A team. With her school she won a Munster B title & and were all Ireland B runners up .
She also plays soccer & camogie with both club & school and will represent her County in 2019 on the u-16 panel.
Kate Moore (Moyle Rovers)
This Tipp Lady started playing football in 2009 and in 2015 she won her first county final with her club Moyle Rovers at the u-12 'B' age group. In 2016 she reached the u-12 county final losing by one point. She won the County Feile skill competition that year and went on to represent Tipperary in the All Ireland Feile skill competition in Dublin and he also was part of the u-14 community games football team that won the county final.
In 2017 Kate represented her school on the primary games team and won her 2nd county title for her club at u-16 and also won the u-17 Summer league. In 2018 she reached an u-14 county semi-final, an u-16 county semi-final and a Minor 'A' final.
She started playing football with Tipperary in 2016 with u-13 development team and was very proud to captain the u-14 County team to a Munster 'B' final win over Waterford in 2018 and to an All-Ireland final in 2018. She also enjoys playing basketball and football with school, club and County.
Dearbhla Morrissey (St Patricks)
Dearbhla commenced playing for St. Patrick’s Ladies in 2010, and in 2012 won her first County final medal in the u-12 'C' Championship. She obtained her second club County final medal in 2014 in the u-14 'C' Championship and repeated this success again in 2016 winning the u-14 'C' Championship.
2017 was a busy year as Dearbhla represented her County in the u-14 'A' Munster Championship reaching the semi-finals, with her club won her fourth County Final medal in the u-14 'C' Championship and won a Munster Schools Junior E title with her school.
In 2018 with her club Dearbhla won the Junior 'B' title and was selected again to represent her County on the u-16 panel.
Erin O’Brien (St. Patrick’s)
Erin fist started playing football in 2007 and joined St. Patrick’s Ladies Football Club in 2010. She took part in u-12 County development squad in 2014, progressed to representing her County at u-14’s in 2017 and took part in the u-15 County development squad in 2018.
Previously in 2014 Erin was part of the u-12 team that won the Community Games county final and went on to be Munster runners up.
In 2016 they repeated their success being u-14 community games county winners and Tipperary Ladies Primary School Blitz u-13 'B' cup winners.
Erin won her first club County Final medal in the 2017 u-19 'C' county championship and was an All Ireland u-14 inter county blitz runner up.
2018 brought Erin her second club County Final medal in the Junior 'B' and was the Thurles Sarsfield Football Fest 7-a-side u-16 runner up.
2019 sees Erin represent her County at u-16 level.
Queve O'Meara (Moycarkey Borris)
Queva first started playing football in 2008 and represented her school winning an u-13 'C'county final. She won her first county final medal with her club Moycarkey Borris in 2014 in the u-12 ‘C’ championship and later that year won the Cahir blitz.
In 2015 she played on the primary games team and won her second county final representing her school.
In 2016 she was chosen to represent Tipp on the u-14 panel and in her first year playing for her county won the u-14 ‘B’ All Ireland Final in McDonagh Park Nenagh against Meath. She captained the 2017 u-14 Tipp team to the final of the All Ireland Blitz in Portlaoise against Kildare and the Munster ‘A’ final and also won the Senior ‘C’ All Ireland Final with her school.
2018 was a busy year which saw Queva transition to the u-16 county panel and reaching the Munster ‘A’ final against Kerry. With her club Moycarkey Borris she won the u-16 ‘C’ Championship and u-17 ‘B’ League county finals and represented her school winning the Senior ‘B’ All Ireland Final.
She also enjoys playing camogie with her club and has won two All Ireland soccer titles with her school.
Megan Tynan (Galtee Rovers)
Megan first started playing Ladies football with Galtee Rovers St. Pecaun's in 2009. She captained her N.S to a Cumann Na mBunscoil county u-13 title in 2014, having also won a County title in 2012. 2014 also saw her play in goal as the club captured its first u-12 ‘A’ County title. In 2015 she was on the team that won the u-12 ‘A’ title for a second year in a row.
In 2016 she was on the County u-14 panel that won the u-14 ‘B’ All Ireland final and in 2017 she played in goal for the County u-14 team. She captained her club to the County Feile Final and the All Ireland Feile Div 2 Shield final victories. That year she was part of the team that won the County U-14 ‘A’ final, U-14 Div 1 Summer League final and were beaten by the eventual winners of the Kilmacud all Ireland 7 a side in the semi final of the cup. She also played in goal for her school when they won the Munster Junior football title in 2017.
Veerle Van der Waal (Clonmel Commercials)
This Tipp Lady first started playing football with Clonmel Commercials in 2010 and in 2013 won her first County Final medal in the u-12 ‘B’ Championship. Veerle first represented her County in 2015.
In 2017 with her club she won an u-19 ‘B’ & an Intermediate County Final medal and with her school won a PPS Senior ‘B’ Munster final.
2018 saw her again win an u-19 ‘B’ medal with Clonmel Commercials and a PPS Senior ‘A’ Munster final title.
Veerle was selected as Captain of the u-16 County team in 2019.
