Report by Dan O'Mahoney, Munster LGFA

John the Baptist School, Hospital made history when they added the Lidl Munster PPS Junior A title to complete the double of Senior A and Junior A Munster PP schools champions. The Hospital girls had a convincing win over Loreto Clonmel in the Junior A final with an early goal from Aisling Ryan and points from captain Anna Rose Kennedy and Sinead McElliot saw them race into a 1-5 lead mid way in the half. Loreto got off the mark with a point from Ava Fennessy and Ciara Ryan gave them hope with a well struck goal. Caitlin Kennedy pounced on a poor kick out and finished to the top corner and with Aisling Ryan adding her second goal John the Baptist lead at the break 3-6 to 1-2.

Points from Emma Morrissey and Anna Rose Kennedy stretched the lead, goals from substitute Roisin O'Carroll and Aisling Ryan's third made the game safe for the Hospital girls. The Loreto girls were not going down without a fight and with ten minutes left goals from Tamara Davis and Ciara Ryan threw them a lifeline but it was too little too late and the Hospital went on to complete the double with a 5-11 to 3-4 win with Anna Rose Kennedy getting the player of the match award.
