Presentation Thurles 4-9 Coláiste an Phiarsaigh 0-9

Presentation School, Thurles got the perfect start to the Lidl Munster PPS Senior C final played on the Astro pitch in UL with two goals from full forward Saoirse O'Meara inside the opening minutes. Coláiste an Phiarsaigh failed to convert some close in frees and were rocked mid way through the half to concede a penalty which was expertly converted by Sarah McKevitt. Lauren McCormack hit over two good points for Presentation and Coláiste an Phiarsaigh got off the mark with two pointed frees from Clodagh Nic Fhinn to leave the half time score 3-3 to 0-2 points in favour of the Tipperary girls.

The Cork girls conceded their second penalty early in the second half and this was again dispatched to the net by Sarah McKevitt. Coláiste an Phiarsaigh hit back with points from fullback C Ni Mhaolain and E ni Rogáin. S Breathnach got a few shots on target but these were expertly tipped over for points by the Thurles keeper Saoirse Fanning. Marie Creedon was doing a brilliant for Presentation in the sweeper role and closed off the Cork girls route to goal. Captain Roisin Ryan hit two excellent points to keep the Thurles girls ahead sub Jenny Irwin also chipped in with a point. Coláiste an Phiarsaigh kept pressing for that elusive goal with wing back A Ni Mhurchu forcing a fine save from the Thurles keeper. Marie Creedon crowned a player of the match performance with a fine point and a late Glanmire point left the final score 4-9 to 0-9 to Presentation Thurles who now go on to meet Santa Maria, Louisburgh Mayo in the Lidl All Ireland semi final on Monday 13^th March.
