Tipperary 6-15 Waterford 0-2




Tipperary had a comprehensive win over near neighbours Waterford when the sides met for on Thursday night last April 4th at Fraher Field, Dungarvan.  It was the first time the sides had met in well over a decade. Tipperary took the initiative from the throw in with two goals one from a penalty a point on the board by the sixth minute. Waterford responded with their only score of the half with a point from play by Sheena McGuikan in the 7th minute. Tipperary dominated the remainder of the half to leave the score at the break 3-8 to 0-1. It was much of the same from the restart as Tipperary had two goals in the opening ten minutes of the second half. They now move on to play Cork in round 3 of the Munster Championship on Sunday next April 14th in Ovens, Cork. Throw in is @2pm.
