A win with the narrowest of margins for our U16A ladies in Limerick today.

The Tipperary U16A team took to the pitch against Limerick in round 2 of the Munster Championship in Staker Wallace grounds in Limerick. A strong breeze benefited the team in the first half.

Limerick were first to score with Tipperary's opening point coming in just under 2mins. 15mins into the 1st half Tipperary had a strong lead 2-3 to 0-2. The team continued strong play across the pitch to finish at half time 4-3 to 1-4.

 

In the second half Limerick came back strong and scored 1-3 unanswered within 5 minutes. Tipperary defended well but with a goal scored by Limerick from a free in the 25th min of the second half brought the game level. The Tipperary ladies went on the attack once more and a final point in the last 5 mins secured the win for Tipperary.

A great display of football skills, team work and determination from both teams.
