Tipperary Ladies Football: Senior & Senior B Semi-Finals Set for September
The 2025 Tipperary Ladies Football Senior Championships have reached the business end, with both the Senior A and Senior B semi-final line-ups now confirmed. Excitement is building as some familiar faces return to the last four, while others are hoping to make a fresh impact.
Senior Championship Semi-Finals
  • Fethard v Moyle Rovers
  • Aherlow v Brian Borus
Moyle Rovers enter the semi-finals as defending champions and group toppers, unbeaten with four wins from four. They will face Fethard, who matched Aherlow on points in Group 1 but progressed thanks to a stronger score difference. This clash renews a rivalry that saw Moyle Rovers overcome Fethard in last year’s County final.
In the second semi-final, Aherlow—always formidable at this stage—take on Brian Borus. Borus edged past Cahir in a crucial group clash to seal their spot in the final four. Last year’s campaign ended in disappointment for Borus, who lost to Cahir in the Senior B final. This time, they will be hungry to prove themselves at Senior A level against a sharp and battle-ready Aherlow.
Senior B Championship Semi-Finals
  • Galtee Rovers St Pecauns v Cahir
  • Clonmel Commercials v Boherlahan Dualla
Cahir, last year’s Senior B champions, are back again to defend their crown. In 2024, they overcame Aherlow in the semi-finals and defeated Brian Borus in the decider (1-8 to 0-8). Their path this season has been equally impressive, and setting up a semi-final showdown with Galtee Rovers St Pecauns.
On the other side of the draw, Clonmel Commercials—who reached last year’s semi-finals but narrowly lost out to Fethard in Senior A—are aiming for silverware this time around. They meet Boherlahan Dualla, who advanced thanks to a crucial victory in the final round of group games.
Senior Relegation Final
  • Cappawhite v Thurles Sarsfields
Both sides endured tough campaigns in the group stages, and now face a relegation showdown to retain their senior status. Cappawhite who won the intermediate title last year to gain promotion face the prospect of returning to the intermediate grade, and will be hoping to find the form needed to avoid the drop, while Thurles Sarsfields who lost out narrowly in the Senior Semi final lest year to Moyle rovers, will be looking  to rally some of last years form to retain their Senior status.

Looking Back – Last Year’s Champions
  • Senior A: Moyle Rovers were crowned champions after an unbeaten season, overcoming Fethard in the semi-final and powering to county glory.
  • Senior B: Cahir triumphed in 2024, defeating Brian Borus (1-8 to 0-8) in the final after a high-scoring semi-final win over Aherlow (6-13 to 2-7).

⚽ Next weekend will provide a great spectacle of Ladies football, and with a place in this years championship finals on the line, we expect some big performances. We also expect to see Tipperary Ladies football new senior manager, David Power at many of the games casting an eye, for next years Senior championship panel.
