Tipperary LGFA Launches Camida Adult Championship Finals Weekend

Tipperary LGFA officially launched its 2026 Camida Adult Championship Finals at a special launch night which brought together players, club representatives, officials, sponsors and supporters ahead of what promises to be a superb weekend of Ladies Football across the county.

The evening celebrated the clubs who have battled their way through the Adult Championships to reach the season’s showpiece fixtures. Representatives from the competing teams gathered alongside the championship trophies for photographs and presentations, with the launch night providing an opportunity to recognise not only the finalists, but also the many volunteers, coaches, officers and supporters who make club football possible throughout Tipperary.

A particularly special moment on the night was the recognition of Tipperary LGFA’s two Honorary Presidents, Biddy Ryan of Ardfinnan and Olive McDonnell of Templemore, who were both presented with special presentations in acknowledgement of their long-standing contribution, commitment and service to Ladies Football in Tipperary. Their involvement and support over many years have played an important part in the development of the association within the county, and the presentations were warmly received by everyone in attendance.

A central part of the evening was the continued support of Camida, title sponsor of the Tipperary LGFA Adult Championships. Their partnership has been hugely important in supporting the adult game across the county, from the opening rounds of the championship right through to finals weekend.

With nine county finals taking place across Saturday and Sunday, the weekend will showcase every level of the adult championship — from the Junior D2 Shield through to the Senior A Final.

Saturday, October 3rd

The action begins in Bansha at 12pm when Lattin Cullen Emly 2 face St Patricks 2 in the Junior D2 Shield Final.

At 2pm, Ardfinnan 2 take on Clonmel Commercials 2 in the Junior D2 Cup Final in Bansha, while Borrisokane Gaels meet Templemore 2 in the Junior C Final in Kilcommon.

The afternoon concludes with two 4pm throw-ins: Killenaule v Rosegreen in the Junior D Final in Bansha, and Rockwell Rovers v St Odhrans Silvermines in the Junior B Final in Kilcommon.

Sunday, October 4th

Sunday’s finals programme begins at 11am in New Inn, where Arravale Rovers take on Lattin Cullen Emly in the Junior A Final.

At 1pm, Clonmel Commercials face Galtee Rovers St Pecauns in the Senior B Final, also in New Inn.

Attention then turns to Golden, where Ardfinnan meet Templemore in the Intermediate Final at 2pm, before the weekend reaches its climax at 4pm with the Senior A Final between Cahir and Moyle Rovers.

The launch night captured the excitement and anticipation surrounding the finals, with club colours, trophies and representatives from across the county coming together ahead of the biggest weekend in the Tipperary LGFA club calendar.
