St. Patrick’s Ladies GAA Club Notes 13/07/19 

Under 11’s:
On Wednesday past, our under 11 girls began their Tipperary Ladies Football Summer League campaign with a home game versus Ardfinnan Peil Na Mban. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half and it was level pegging at half time with scores tied at 3 points each.

A few positional switches at half time allowed our girls to move more freely in the second half. The girls increased their work rate and the scores started to come. Through some well converted goals our girls edged ahead. Under immense pressure from Ardfinnan in the final few minutes our defence held tight and victory went St Patrick's way on the night. Final score St Patrick's 4-4, Ardfinnan 2-5. Huge credit to both teams on a very sporting and spirited display of football.

Our next Summer League game is fixed for next Tuesday evening in Cloneen against Holycross Lgfa throw in 6.45 sharp. Please come along and show your support for our #futurestars

There will be no under 10 or 12 training this Monday evening.

Under 14’s:
Our under 14 team played their 2nd round summer league match game last Thursday evening in Monroe against Moyle Rovers-Ladies. The game started even enough and some good scores were racked up by both sides However, Moyle Rovers started the second half with two quick goals and even though we kept up the pace and pressure we were unable to catch their lead.

Next round match is away to Silvermines Ladies Gaelic Football to be played by the 27th of July.

Under 17’s
Our under 17 team will play Silvermines Ladies Gaelic Football in their second round summer league in Anner Park Cloneen next Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
