u-19 Championship St Pat's v Templemore

Our under 19 team headed to Templemore School Field this afternoon to play Holycross Lgfa in the Tipperary Ladies Football Under 19C County Semi Final. The first 15 minutes seen both teams level with 1.1 each but Holycross upped the gears for the second quarter of the first half getting 3 unanswered goals, which seen them build up a healthy half time lead of St. Patrick’s 1.3 Holycross 4.2.

Despite their best efforts St. Patrick’s could not keep pace with the stronger and older Holycross girls in the second half. We did have several goal chances but the Holycross goalie had a superb performance, pulling off many saves over the 60 minutes. Our girls kept going to the end but unfortunately were unable to get up to the intensity and performance level displayed in the round game against Holycross a few weeks ago and missed out in a county final spot on a scoreline of St. Patrick’s 2.5 Holycross 8.6.
