Moyle Rovers were crowned the Specsavers U16 B County Ladies Football Champions on Sunday last October 3^rd with an over-powering performance when they defeated Galtee Rovers at Ballporeen.

Played in wintry conditions with heavy showers the Clonmel side aided by a strong breeze completely dominated the opening half and managed to keep the Galtee girls scoreless for the entire half. From the throw in Moyle Rovers seemed to lay siege on the Galtees goal mouth and had notched up 1-6 with scores from Eabha Dolan (0-3) Ava Wall (1-1) ,Hazel Brennad and Ellie Franklin (0-1 each) to 0-0 by the first waterbreak. On resumption they continued their relentless attack and despite the best efforts of Charlotte Flynn had racked up a 3-8 with a brace of goals from Aedin McCormack  to 0-0, lead at midway.

Galtees though were not going to give up without a fight and started the second half brightly scoring 2-1 with scores from Jenny Ryan (0-1) and a (1-0) from Anna Phelan and Maeve O’Callaghan in the first ten minutes of half and were unfortunate to have a third goal disallowed in that period also. However, Moyle Rovers reasserted their dominance and with another Eabha Dolan and a third Aedin McCormack goal to quench the Galtee come back. Ailise Grogan replied with another point before Moyle Rovers substitute Aoife Colwell added a goal of her own.  Galtees did manage a third goal through Maeve O’Callaghan but it was too little too late with Aedin McCormack wrapping up the scores for the day with a point in the last minute of ordinary time.
