u-16 'A' Final
Moycarkey-Borris 4-11 Fethard 2-11
This was the last final to be played in Boherlahan on Sunday and what a final it proved to be. Both defences were on top throughout the game and only that Moycarkey Borris had players of the class of Ciara Shelly scoring 2-7 and Aoife Shelly scoring 2-0 which added to a wonderful game. Half time Moycarkey 2-7 Fethard 1-4. The second half saw Fethard take over and brought the game down to just 2pts. Moycarkey recovered well and with Sarah Corcoran, Sofie Coughlan, Janis Corcoran and goalkeeper Niamh O Gorman who made a number of great saves to help Moycarkey Borris to retain their Country title. Fethard can be very proud of the way they played with outstanding performances from Meah Cuddihy 2-6, Abbie Brown 0-1, Emily Davey0-1, Emily Spillane 0-1 and Aine Lawrence 0-1
Michael Towey chairman presented the cup to Ciara Shelly(Captain) and Player of the match to Sarah Corcoran .
A special mention to Pat Morrissey Fethard Electrical Wholesale for his sponsorship of the Under 16 Championship from A To D and also his sponsorship of Player of the Match in each final. U16 B
Holycross/Ballycahill 9-12 Brian Borus 8-1
What a wonderful game we had in Bansha on Saturday when these two sides met to decide who would become County Champions. Holycross/ Ballycahill are starting to make their presence felt in Tipperary LGFA adding this U16 title to the U21 league already won this year. Grace Fitzpatrick Ryan was their leading scorer with 5-2 and Sarah Quinlan 1-5 .
Chairman Michael Towey presented the Cup to Ashling Cradock(Captain). Person of the Match was Sarah English Brian Borus.
u-16 'C'
Cappawhite 3-11 Rockwell Rovers 2-11
Another fantastic game in Bansha on Saturday last. This game was close all the way right to the end with the score at half time Rockwell Rovers 2-8 Cappawhite 0-9 .
Cappawhite got a goal in the 40th min to draw the game and it was set up for a grand stand finish. The game went to 70min due to injury time in very warm conditions and great credit is due to both teams with Cappawhite winning by a goal which was scored by Hannah O’Carroll. Danielle Ryan scored 2-8 and was named as Player of the Match and she was also Captain.
u-16 'D'
Slieve Felim Rapparees 5-6. Clonmel Commercial 3-6
Another great game of football played in Boherlahan on Sunday last. The game was very close with the halftime score Rapparees 4-0 Clonmel Comm 2-5. Both defences were on top and every scores was hard got. Sarah Brennan was awarded Player of the match with an outstanding performance. Michael Towey County chairman presented the cup to Siofra Pamplin (Captain)
